TL;DR: Ever wished you could see beyond your organization's surface? Our Discovery360 tool gathers honest insights from your entire team through surveys and focused conversations—ideal for new leaders, times of change, or when progress feels stalled.

What's in it for you (WIIFY):

You know that feeling when you're trying to figure out what's really going on in your organization? Maybe you're a new leader wanting to understand the lay of the land, or a consultant trying to help, or maybe you're just stuck knowing something needs to change but not quite sure what.

There are days I’ve felt wildly in touch and in-the-know, and days where I am pretty sure I’m flying solo. The honest answer is pretty much always both. And, as I learn over and over, everything and anything in the world benefits from starting with deep listening.

Whether getting ready to work with an org or setting up for annual planning or doing reviews, there are a ton of tools that folks use. But, I haven’t yet found one that was a full organizational 360 that helped me.

I also want to note that in my career I’ve made every assumption you can imagine - including blaming systems, people, teams, products, leadership, etc. It’s never ever one thing - but it can be so tempting!  Manipulating questions to get what I’ve already decided on, opening up deep listening in ways that turn into a litany of complaints versus constructive information - you name it and I’ve done it…

💡 Without a short-term solution, I created the Discovery360.

Before we go any further(!), please note that this is still very much being tested.

As a human who gets to support organizations and needs to understand the lay of the land, it’s an evolving tool  – and it’s seriously helping.  We’ve used it a few times now and have been wildly grateful at what folks have shared and the picture it brings on where organizations are.

Key things/What actually works

Getting clear on what's really happening in your organization starts with intentional listening at every level. Through years of trial and error, we've found that the most valuable insights come when you combine broad participation with focused follow-up, always starting from a place of strength. While every organization is unique, there are some core principles that consistently help uncover authentic, actionable feedback.

Our Discovery360 boils down to five essential steps that create a continuous feedback loop between listening deeply and taking meaningful action:

Here's what we've learned works best:

  1. Survey everyone
  2. Interview some
  3. Reflect and discuss as a leadership team
  4. Share with everyone
